Financial Services (ABA-HQ)NATCA represents 100 employees in the Office of Information Systems and Technology Services Staff, Office of Budget, Office of Financial Management and the Office of Cost & Performance Management at the FAA's headquarters in Washington, DC. These NATCA members are budget and program/management analysts, accountants, travel and accounting technicians and computer specialists overseeing all aspects of the agency's budget, finances, travel policies and performance management. NATCA won the election with 80 percent of the vote. The Federal Labor Relations Authority granted certification on February 7, 2000. Within NATCA, this division is further combined with the engineers and architects and creates essentially one "region" of about 2,508 total bargaining unit members represented by the Engineers and Architects Vice President Mike MacDonald who serves on the National Executive Board. What Do These Members Do? These bargaining unit members provide the following accounting, financial and audit liaison services: develop and evaluate FAA accounting systems, maintain accounting operations for Washington headquarters, ensure the agency budgetary needs, develop policies, programs, standards, systems and procedures for budget, travel, financial and performance management. Also develop, administer and implement organizational structure, issue administrative standards and procedures, administer the cost accounting and user fees, administer OMB Circular A-76 and performance of commercial activities Contact Person Carmela Newberry |
