Rick Thompson is serving his fourth consecutive term as Alaskan Regional Vice President for the National Air Traffic Controllers Association. He has served in a variety of NATCA positions and has worked tirelessly on behalf of the union since its formation.

Thompson works at Anchorage Center, where he has previously served as NATCA facility representative and vice president. Thompson has also served as an Alaskan Region member to the National Finance Committee and, back in the days when the FAA cared about its employees, as the NATCA Alaskan Region coordinator for the Quality Through Partnership initiative.

Thompson received a bachelor's degree in business administration with a major in aviation management from the University of North Dakota.

Thompson is based in Anchorage, Alaska.
