ATC Staffing Shortage: Feel the Impact

When it comes to productivity and efficiency, America's air traffic controllers are leading the way.  According to a recent study, controllers in the U.S. work longer and harder than their European counterparts, making them 79 percent more productive.  But a staffing crisis is looming across the country.  As thousands of retirements approach, inaction is not an option.  The only goal of NATCA members is to make sure passengers get home safely and that requires having the right number of controllers watching our skies.  Inadequate staffing is already having significant consequences at facilities across the country and something must be done to reverse the trend.
