UNIDENTIFIED AIRCRAFT: What’s all the helicopter activity today?

MITCHELL: Well they’re … they’ve been chasing some bad guy who’s been running around on the airport, uh, in a car.

UNIDENTIFIED AIRCRAFT: Cool.

UNIDENTIFIED AIRCRAFT: That ain’t good.

UNIDENTIFIED AIRCRAFT: Somebody didn’t bring their car keys to work.

MITCHELL: I think they caught him down by the fire station but, um, now he’s in the parking garage, they say.

UNIDENTIFIED AIRCRAFT: Crazy people.

UNIDENTIFIED AIRCRAFT: You’ll see it on television probably.

MITCHELL: Oh, I’m sure.

MITCHELL: Southwest three fifty two use caution there’s a vehicle off the left, that’s the guy that they’ve been chasing.

SOUTHWEST 352: Holy cow, you gotta be kidding me.

MITCHELL: I am not kidding you.

SOUTHWEST 352: Yeah, I see him go.

MITCHELL: Yeah everybody on the taxiway just hold position please, everybody on the taxiway hold position.

MITCHELL: Cactus eight forty one hold your position, Jetlink twenty three zero nine don’t move please, there’s a vehicle on the chase, uh, moving right by you right now.

BTA 2309: Jetlink twenty three oh nine.

MITCHELL: Cactus eight forty one, just hold position.

BTA 2309: Ground jetlink twenty three oh nine there’s America West just to our left, cops are trying to get him to stop.

MITCHELL: I know, we’re trying to get him to stop too.

MITCHELL: And just everybody on the taxiway stop. The RJ on taxiway shuttle four thirty three if you would hold position please.

MITCHELL: Cactus eight forty one thank you just hold right there, they kinda got a police situation going on here with a guy running amok on the airport, so they’d like you to just hold until they get him caught.

UNIDENTIFIED AIRCRAFT: What’s up with all these helicopters.

MITCHELL: Well, there’s a vehicle that they were chasing and he got onto the airport; he’s running down the taxiway so they’re trying to catch him right now.

UNIDENTIFIED AIRCRAFT: Cool.

UNIDENTIFIED AIRCRAFT: Looks like a good jail term for that guy.

MITCHELL: Uh, yeah. He got onto taxiway echo without a clearance from me. He’s definitely going to jail.

UNIDENTIFIED AIRCRAFT: Turn him over here to twenty two oh six; I’ll shoot him.

MITCHELL: You know they had him caught by the fire station. We’re kinda wondering why that didn’t happen there.

UNIDENTIFIED AIRCRAFT: How did he get past TSA?

MITCHELL: Uh, I don’t know.

UNIDENTIFIED AIRCRAFT: Did he exit that uh northwest gate there?

MITCHELL: Yeah, he exited the gate over by the fire station and went right on through uh right on to tango and onto echo.

UNIDENTIFIED AIRCRAFT: It looks like he’s off the airport property now or at least into that parking area.

UNIDENTIFIED AIRCRAFT: Did he take his shoes off?

MITCHELL: No, actually he came in a big truck.

UNIDENTIFIED AIRCRAFT: He couldn’t fit that through the metal detector.

MITCHELL: Jetlink twenty three zero nine they have him apprehended now, go ahead and go ahead of that America West jet down to Delta, I guess four there, join echo and continue.
