Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP)

Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP)
1. Avoid the afternoon crunch. The busiest times at MSP, when delays may be encountered, are from 3:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
2. Parking advice. The general parking ramp at the Lindbergh Terminal fills up quickly and will often be full or close to capacity between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
3. Movement between terminals. Due to construction at the Humphrey Terminal, the Light Rail Transit station is closed, cutting off train service between the Humphrey and Lindbergh terminals. Access between the terminals is limited to bus service. Passengers should allow extra time if they plan on using the bus service.
4. Runway construction. Starting August 13, 2007 and continuing through October 17, 2007, one of the main runways at MSP will be closed for re-construction. This will reduce the arrival and departure capacity at the airport by approximately 10%, even in good weather. If the weather is poor (low ceilings or low visibility) the arrival rate will be cut in half. When this occurs, passengers should expect delays.
