Portland International Airport (PDX)

1.  Security Tips.  TSA security lines at PDX can be quite long at times.  There are two security lines inside the airport, one for the A, B, C Concourse and one for the D, E Concourse.  However, just past the security checkpoint, there is a bridge that allows passengers access to all the gates.  If the lines are longer for one security checkpoint, go to the one with the shorter line and access your gate via the bridge if necessary.

2.  Road construction.  This will be an issue this summer as Airport Way is the only access to the airport and is under construction.  There will be numerous lane closures and construction delays as the entire road is under construction.  Information on closures and delays can be found at www.flypdx.com.

3.  Cell phone waiting area.  The parking garages tend to be full from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Tuesday thru Thursday.  For people coming to the airport to pick up passengers, the cell phone waiting area is a great alternative.  Watch for signs for the cell phone waiting area on Airport Way.
