Indy's Recent Retirement Seminar Sees Great Attendance
Thursday, October 07, 2010

Indy’s Retirement Seminar on Friday, Oct. 1 was a success, with an attendance of over 60 members and spouses from several facilities throughout the region.

Attendees found the event very informative as they were
briefed on several important aspects of retirement, including the thrift savings plan, health insurance, life insurance, survivors benefits, disability benefits, military/prior government employment, social security, Medicare, leave, and what to consider when selecting a specific day to retire on.

“While the majority in attendance were likely within five years of retirement, the material provided can be extremely useful for members in all stages of their career,” says seminar attendee and ZID FacRep Tom Thompson. “It’s never too early to start!”

NATCA would like to thank IND FacRep Mark Wittmayer who played a large role in the planning of October’s event!
