NATCA Reloaded Spotlight
Friday, October 08, 2010

On Wednesday, NATCA representatives were welcomed by the students and faculty of the Aerospace Program at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). Located in Murfreesboro, Tenn., MTSU has the largest undergraduate enrollment in the entire state and is home to a growing and successful Air Traffic - College Training Initiative program.

Rodney Turner, BNA FacRep and former Southern RVP; BNA member Chris Perdue; and Ryan Corley
(ZHU), National Reloaded Committee member and MTSU alum, spoke to the crowd of about 60 students and faculty. The students had many questions, on everything from phraseology to training advice and work schedules. The majority of the students also signed up to become Student Associate Members of NATCA.

During their visit, the NATCA representatives were also able to observe a class and see the MTSU CTI facilities, which included brand new radar simulators. The school has also just purchased a 360-degree, wrap-around tower simulator, which will be installed next month.

NATCA would like to thank everyone at MTSU for their generous hospitality.
