ZSE Hits the Green for Charity
Wednesday, June 01, 2011

Last week, four Seattle Center (ZSE) members stepped onto the green in support of a great cause. Organized by the Teamsters Union, the annual golf tournament at Newcastle Golf Course in Bellevue, Wash., benefits the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). This year's participants raised somewhere in the neighborhood of $370,000 for the MDA!

Below is a photo of the NATCA participants in front of the ZSE-sponsored hole. "This was not only important for the benefit of the MDA, but to bring attention to the fact that we, as Air Traffic Controllers, are union members as well," explains ZSE A-Area Rep Tony Germann, who hopes that events such as these will help inspire more community outreach activities -- no matter how fun they might be.
