Less than 2 weeks left to join NATCA/UNUM Long Term Disability Program!

Time is running out to apply during the Open Enrollment period for the NATCA Group Long Term Disability Program. This period runs through the end of this month April 30th.

You insure your car, house, why wouldn’t you insure the thing that allows you to have those things…your INCOME. Procrastination has its place, but not when it involves coverage for your family and your loved ones!

Because you pay your premiums with after-tax dollars, any benefits you receive under this plan can be tax-free under current laws. This means, you can receive 50 percent of your gross earnings tax-free!

NATCA and its members own this plan. It is up to us, as members, to ensure the stability of OUR plan. It is through the strength and size of NATCA that we are able to maintain a good long term disability plan. With increased participation we will be able to secure the stability of this plan for many years to come and ensure that our members are protected throughout their careers. Shorter pre-existing provisions, higher income payouts, and shorter elimination periods may all be possible by increasing the participation numbers of our LTD plan.

As part of the Open Enrollment period, NATCA is hosting the “Tell-a-Friend” campaign where UNUM will donate $5,000 to the NATCA Charitable Foundation (NCF) on behalf of the region with the largest increase in enrollments based on eligible participants. The donation will be presented to NCF at NATCA in Washington in May. In addition, NATCA locals will receive a $10 gift certificate to the NATCA Store for each enrollment in their facility.
