Thursday, June 28, 2012
Anna Jancewicz, who has worked as NATCA’s Deputy Director of Labor Relations since May 2011, has been promoted to Director of Labor Relations. She officially takes over the Director position on July 1.
Jancewicz joined NATCA with a strong background in labor relations that she acquired working with the largest Teamsters local on the West Coast.
“She has been instrumental in putting processes in place within the NATCA Labor Relations Department to improve the overall effectiveness and organization of the department and has begun to build strong relationships with many NATCA members, FAA officials, and – of course – the NATCA staff,” NATCA President Paul Rinaldi said.
“We are confident that Anna is the perfect choice to move the department forward,” said Executive Vice President Trish Gilbert. “We look forward to working with her in her new capacity.”
Jancewicz worked in Seattle as Government Relations Coordinator and Staff Attorney for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local Union No. 117 from 2005 until April 2011. Before that, she worked as an attorney in private practice in Seattle and Spokane, Wash. She is a graduate of Eastern Washington University and the Gonzaga University School of Law.
"It has been an absolute pleasure to serve the men and women of NATCA for the past year and I am greatly honored for the opportunity to continue this work as the Director of Labor Relations,” Jancewicz said.
