New numbers show rise in members age 30-39

There are 15,528 members in the union as of this week.

New NATCA membership numbers reflect the steady shift in demographics toward a younger generation coming into the union-represented aviation safety-related professions - 54 percent of our members are under the age of 40; 22 percent are under the age of 30.

The number of members in one age category, 30-39, saw the biggest jump in the past six months while remaining the largest such age group. Total members in that group rose six percent, to 4,978.
