ZME, ENM Members Need Your Help
Memphis Center member Johnathan “Scott” Roach was badly injured in a recent motorcycle accident. He is now in the Voluntary Leave Donation Program (VLTP) and joins a list of members in need of leave donations from their brothers and sisters. That list also includes aerospace engineer Howard Hall from the Engineers Northwest Mountain regional office (ENM), who has stage IV esophageal cancer.
In the middle of the afternoon of Nov. 2, Roach was traveling north on Canada Road in Lakeland, Tenn., when he was struck by a motorist who failed to yield as they turned left into a gas station in front of Roach. He sustained two broken wrists and forearms, a dislocated wrist, an injured left knee, and an array of cuts and bruises.
Last Monday, Scott underwent surgery on both of his arms and wrists that required the insertion of plates, screws and pins in each. He has casts covering both hands extending past his elbows. It is unclear when he will be able to return to work or cleared for duty.
If you know a member who is also in the VLTP and needs to be added to our database, please email Director of Communications Doug Church (email@example.com).
Please visit our page HERE
on the members website for more information. Please note that the link
to go to the FAA website for more information and the needed forms is
not working consistently for those not using a computer from inside the
FAA firewall. Using Internet Explorer as your browser may help, FAA
says. We are working with the FAA communications staff to address this
issue and hope to have it resolved soon. Please ask your facility
