NCF hosts National Online Food Drive
Thursday, December 06, 2012

In this holiday season, the NATCA Charitable Foundation (NCF) wants to give everybody at NATCA the chance to give back and celebrate the true meaning of the holidays.

The NCF is hosting a national online food drive through YouGiveGoods to benefit New Jersey residents who are still recovering from Hurricane Sandy.

Newark Tower (EWR) Facility Representative Ray Adams helped put together NCF's charity efforts with YouGiveGoods, and said it's a charity that really focuses on helping out the hardest hit part of the state, the Jersey Shore.

"I grew up there, and it means a lot to me to have the opportunity to help out," said Adams. "YouGiveGoods has a unique approach to enabling food drives, and their technology allowed us to run a national food drive benefitting this specific part of New Jersey."

NCF President Elena Nash said that buying food items through YouGiveGoods.com is extremely easy, and you're able to see what people are purchasing on the spot, from tomato sauce cans to low-sugar cereal.

NCF has a goal to raise $10,000 worth of food purchases for the food banks. Donations will be accepted through Dec. 17. Over $2,000 has been raised and 10 days to go! Remember what these holiday seasons are all about and donate here today!

NCF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, all volunteer organization, helping to make a difference to the under-served expanding across the country. NCF is NATCA's charity of Choice, and involved in several fund-raising events throughout the year. To find out more about how you can help and donate to NCF, visit their website at ncf.natca.net.
