The panel that convened on Day 3 of Communicating for Safety last month provided a compelling look at NextGen and the future of the National Airspace System.

NATCA Executive Vice President Trish Gilbert moderated the panel, which included: NATCA President Paul Rinaldi, Air Traffic Organization Chief Operating Officer David Grizzle, Alaska Air Group Chairman Bill Ayer, RTCA, Inc. President Margaret Jenny, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association President and CEO Craig Fuller, National Business Aviation Association President and CEO Ed Bolen and MITRE's Sr. Vice President and General Manager Lillian Ryals.

The panel touched on subjects that impact NextGen and the NAS and how the FAA, NATCA and many other aviation professionals are working collaboratively to continue its expansion. The panelists also discussed how sequestration will affect both NextGen and the NAS.
