"OPERATION ALL IN 4 MOORE": After the devastating tornadoes in the Oklahoma City area, flyers and collection boxes were placed in DOT and FAA buildings throughout Washington, D.C., and Baltimore. They were sent late last month to the FAA's Logistics Center with the help from NATCA, which paid for the shipping costs. Over 1,600 pounds of non-perishable food, pet food, clothing, shoes, toiletries, first aid supplies and other essentials were shipped and are now on the ground there. After receiving the boxes, Elaine Downey, Division Manager of the Logistics Transformation Office, said, “We worked last night opening all the boxes and organizing the goods. It was like Christmas. We are notifying the employees today that the wonderful donations are here ready for them to go ‘shopping.’ Your hard work and outstretched arms with all of the survival care packages and practical items mean more to us than you can even imagine.”
