SMOKING-GUN DENVER FAA MEMO ADMITS LACK OF EXPERIENCED CONTROLLERS AFFECTING SAFETY

Busted! A smoking-gun Denver FAA memo -- made public by Denver TV station KCNC-4 -- admits a lack of experienced controllers is affecting safety and forcing the agency to restrict traffic into Denver.

See the KCNC-4 story

This story proves that the FAA has been wrong in stating that its imposed work rules and pay cuts on controllers (imposed Sept. 3, 2006) saves money.

This is also a prime example of system inefficiencies due to the imposed work rules. The FAA claims savings but it has equal or greater overall costs to the aviation system stakeholders; the additional fuel costs, additional maintenance and flight hours on airframes, the environmental impact with carbon emissions.

That, with the additional time and productivity wasted for every single passenger flying into Denver, would make for a very high figure.
