HRPM PB 115, PAID LEAVE UNDER THE FAMILIES FIRST CORONAVIRUS RESPONSE ACT (FFCRA) BRIEFING

On April 17, 2020, NATCA was informed by the Agency of its plans to immediately implement the Human Resource Policy Manual (HRPM) Policy Bulletin 115, Paid Leave under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA), which provides an entitlement to paid and/or unpaid leave as a result of the public health emergency related to COVID-19.  The new policy bulletin implements, through December 31, 2020, the two new leave entitlements provided for by the FFCRA, Emergency Paid Sick Leave and Expanded FMLA Leave, and provides guidance for the administration of these new entitlements for eligible FAA employees.  Following the briefing, NATCA signed off on a Memorandum of Understanding with the Agency, concerning how FFCRA will be applied to all bargaining unit employees at the Agency.
