On October 16, 2020, the Agency briefed NATCA regarding its intent to consolidate the Manufacturing Inspection Office (MIO) Branches within the Aircraft Certification (AIR) System Oversight Division (AIR-800).  There are currently four MIO Branches comprised of fifteen Manufacturing Inspection District Office (MIDO) Sections and the Boeing Certificate Management Office (CMO) Section.  The consolidation will result in three renamed MIO Branches housing the MIDOs and Boeing CMO Sections.

The consolidation will affect one NATCA bargaining unit employee (BUE).  The BUE will continue to report to the same manager, and his day-to-day duties will not change.  The Agency also stated during the briefing that the consolidation will not affect the BUE’s grade, series, pay, duty location, or telework arrangement.
