FALCON QUICK LISTEN FUNCTION PERMISSIONS
On October 11, 2018, the Agency briefed NATCA regarding proposed changes to add new permissions to CEDAR that would affect the FALCON Quick Listen function. The new permissions would allow facilities to give individuals access to listen to all recorded voice phone lines in Quick Listen or to exclude phone lines on which personally identifiable information (PII) or sensitive personnel information could be exchanged. NATCA subsequently submitted proposals intended to maintain BUEs’ existing access to recorded voice lines.
On January 22, 2021, the Agency notified NATCA that it decided not to move forward with this update and will not restrict access to recorded lines. Rather, BUEs will maintain their existing access to recorded voice lines.
