CHILD CARE SUBSIDY PROGRAM

On February 12, 2021, the Agency informed NATCA that it intends to transfer its Child Care Subsidy Program (CCSP) from a vendor-operated program to an FAA-operated program.  Currently, CCSP participants receive invoices from their child-care providers, verify the information, and submit the invoices to the Agency’s vendor.  The vendor then pays the child-care providers.  Under the new process, CCSP participants will receive invoices from their child-care providers, sign the invoices, and email the invoices to an Agency email address.  An Agency employee will then retrieve the documents and coordinate with the National Child Care Program Manager and the Work Life Director to process payments to the child-care providers.

The Agency stated that the effect on employees who participate in the CCSP will be minimal; instead of submitting invoices to the Agency’s CCSP vendor, they will submit the invoices to the Agency itself.  The Agency stated that it intends to terminate the contract with its CCSP vendor effective May 15, 2021.
