NATCA is requesting a total of 16 volunteers, 8 EnRoute CPCs with 1 to 5 years experience and 8 EnRoute CPCs with 15 to 20 years experience, to serve as Subject Matter Experts for Human in the Loop (HITL) simulations for one of four rounds listed below.
DUTIES: THIS A PART TIME POSITION
Certified Professional Controllers to act as Subject Matter experts (SME) and participate in Human in the Loop (HITL) simulations using an En Route environment to evaluate the integration of several NextGen concepts into a simulated En Route Automation Modernization (ERAM) environment.
For the following dates:
Round 1: 6/3/19- 6/14/19
Round 2: 6/17/19 – 6/28/19
Round 3 : 7/8/19 – 7/19/19
Round 4: 7/22/19 – 8/2/19
REQUIREMENTS:
Active member in good standing.
En route CPCs
Each CPC may only participate in one group
Must be fully certified, operationally current and hold valid medical certificate.
CPCs will participate in groups of four. Each group needs to consist of:
– 2 CPCs with between 1 and 5 years of experience
– 2 CPCs with between 15 and 20 years of experience
Confidentiality:
Each Participant will read and sign an informed consent statement prior to the start of the study. The data collected during the study will be strictly confidential. All collected data will be anonymous. We ask participants not to share details of the study with others until after we have collected data collection.
Additional information:
Workdays will be 8 hours long (0800-1630 local time). Meal breaks included.
Participants will be expected to remain on location overnight.
