Arizona NATCA Members Attend Event with Senator Mark Kelly

NATCA Western Pacific Region Legislative Chair David Skarphol (Phoenix TRACON, P50) and Deer Valley ATCT (DVT) Vice President and Legislative Rep Alyssa Martinez recently attended an event with U.S. Senator Mark Kelly (D-AZ) to celebrate former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords’ — who is Kelly’s wife — birthday.  

“Senator Kelly mentioned he had just met with NATCA’s Senior Political and Legislative Representative Sean Maxwell and they discussed the importance of NATCA members’ activism in the upcoming midterm election,” Skarphol said. “Senator Kelly said that due to the large geographic area he needs to cover in Arizona, he often flies his plane to events and thanked us for keeping the sky safe.”
