NATCA’s newest bargaining unit members took part in AFN (FAA Office of Finance and Management) training in Las Vegas this week. NATCA Executive Vice President Trish Gilbert and Region X Regional Vice President Mike MacDonald were in attendance to answer questions and offer insight into what makes NATCA strong.
The AFN unit is now NATCA’s second-largest bargaining unit, narrowly edging ahead of the Engineers & Architects (E&A) unit, which represents 1,257 employees.
Chicago Center (ZAU) awarded its annual Christmas Card Winner this week!
Congratulations to Daniel Duffy! Daniel will have his drawing used as ZAU NATCA’s 2016 Christmas Card and will receive four tickets to the Chicago Joffrey Ballet’s presentation of the “The Nutcracker” or a $450 Best Buy Gift Card.
First Runner Up was Maliyah Henison, and Jordyn Parnell and Emma Skonie tied for third place. FacRep Toby Hauck was very proud of all who participated and looks forward to what next years great minds will think up.
NATCA Reps attended ATCA’s 61st Annual Conference this week held at National Harbor in Washington, D.C. NATCA President Paul Rinaldi, PMO Rep Jeff Woods, and Weather Rep Matt Tucker all participated on panels and gave their take on the current state of the National Airspace System. Several NATCA members were awarded at the Annual Luncheon Banquet as well for their contributions to keeping the skies safe. Check out NATCA’s Flickr Album for more photos!
