Last month, Associate and Deputy Administrators of the Airports at the ARP Managers meeting in Los Angeles recognized Region X Western Pacific (EWP) FacRep Sam Samad.
Samad was presented with a Distinguished Service Award “In recognition of your Exceptional Leadership, Support, and Service as the Office of Airports’ National NATCA Representative.”
Many ARP National and Regional managers, as well as NATCA brothers and sisters, were present for the ceremony. Samad continues in NATCA leadership as ARP’s EWP Regional Representative and EWP Local President.

NATCA’s North Texas Locals celebrated the holidays together this year with a Christmas party featuring happy NATCA kids and an appearance by Santa Claus. NATCA President Paul Rinaldi, Executive Vice President Trish Gilbert, and Southwest Regional Vice President Andrew LeBovidge were also in attendance to celebrate. Pictured with Paul and Trish in the holiday suit is Nick Maschek from Meachum Tower (FTW).
Houston International TRACON (I90) held their holiday party this week as well. I90 Vice President Adam Rhodes shared this great shot with fellow I90 NATCA member Fabian Sanchez and his wife, Jeannie.
San Juan CERAP (ZSU) held festive holiday celebrations this week and spread some NATCA solidarity cheer.
