Last Saturday, April 29, a memorial service was held for A80 member Nate Enders, his wife, Laura, and their two young sons, Jaden and Eli. They died on April 15 when the C170 aircraft Enders was piloting crashed near Williston, Fla. During the service, the Falcon Field (FFC) RV Squadron from Peachtree City, Ga., performed a flyover that included the missing man formation in memory of the four lives lost.
The Northwest Mountain Region (NNM) recently held a solidarity event in Boise, Idaho. NATCA Executive Vice President Trish Gilbert, National Safety Committee Chair Steve Hansen, NNM Regional Vice President (RVP) Doug Pincock, and NNM Alternate RVP Eddie De Lisle were all in attendance to discuss issues facing NATCA and the National Airspace System, as well as answer questions from the membership.
Youngstown (YNG) hosted a solidarity event on May 3. YNG FacRep John Kelly and Facility Legislative Representative Nick Yochman invited their membership to an evening of food and bowling. Great Lakes National Legislative Committee Chair Mike Hanlon and Ohio State Legislative Coordinator Tim Tomayko were in attendance and discussed legislative issues that directly impact YNG to the attendees. Cleveland Center Legislative Committee member Josh Santiago was also in attendance.
“This was an amazing turnout from a great Local,” said Hanlon. “It was a fantastic event, and I thank everyone for making it so informative and fun.”
