June 9, 2017 // NCF: NiW Efforts Helped Local Shelters
The NATCA Charitable Foundation (NCF) helped local homeless individuals in need this year at NATCA in Washington (NiW). Part of that effort was through a $40 donation drive that provided the homeless with socks, deodorant, hairbrushes, razors, toothbrushes, toothpaste, washcloths, wipes, hand sanitizer, crayons, coloring books, etc. With each donation, the donator received 15 additional raffle tickets to win one of the incredible regional baskets prepared for the NCF NiW auction. With the help of generous donations from attendees, sponsors, and supporters, NiW was able to raise over $8,000 at the event.

NCF also donated all leftovers from the group dinner at Carmine’s to a local homeless shelter, ensuring nothing went to waste.
NCF is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation. Their philanthropic efforts and programs stretch across the country as volunteers work to make a difference in the lives of many. NCF is a 100 percent volunteer organization, ensuring all donations make a difference to those in need. NCF is proud that because of this volunteer effort, their operating expense ratio has remained below 5 percent since 1998.

Why Should I Give to NCF?
NCF seeks out areas of need that go un-funded or that are missed through typical donor drives. Across the country, one program at a time, NATCA members, friends, and family all volunteer to help bring smiles to children and adults in need.
Why is NCF Important to Me?
NCF has been growing exponentially every year as a result of NATCA members’ incredible generosity. Being a part of NCF is just an extension of the feeling you get as a NATCA member.

How Does NCF Select the Charities it Works With?
As a volunteer, you help NCF choose the charities that they support. Are you participating in a run or walk that supports your favorite charity? Do you want to start a food drive for a local food bank or homeless shelter? Start a backpackor school supply drive for children in need or a holiday drive for families in need? Do you have a local charity that is underfunded that you would like to support? Contact NCF directly and tell them about the charity.
How Can I Help NCF?
