Chicago Solidarity Event Summer 2018

 Chicagosolidarity

Chicago Area NATCA members hosted a solidarity event and candidate forum at the Naperville Topgolf on June 20. More than 150 NATCA members from local facilities came out with their families. The FacReps welcomed attendees, and then NATCA Executive Vice President Trish Gilbert gave an update on NATCA’s legislative affairs and the importance of activism. She also educated the members about efforts through the NATCA Charitable Foundation and encouraged them to get involved.

“There were a lot of new members that attended, getting their first exposure to NATCA’s legislative efforts and solidarity outside of the workplace,” said Mike Hanlon, NATCA Great Lakes Region Legislative Committee Chair. “Both NATCA Legislative and NATCA Charitable were in attendance to educate the membership on what we do respectively, and to answer any questions that they may have.”

Hanlon gave a special thanks to Jeremy Ferg and everyone that made the event such a success.

NATCA national election candidates in attendance: Paul Rinaldi, Bryan Zilonis, Trish Gilbert, and Dave Riley.
