Labor: Did You Know?
Unions help ensure more equitable pay for women, because unions collectively bargain wages and pay scales that are transparent to all workers and apply to workers in the same job equally.
According to the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), women in unions make $0.94 for every dollar a man makes, compared to non-unionized women who make just $0.78 per dollar compared to men.
