Culinary Union Activists Talk Labor Rights and Advocacy at ATX

At Wednesday’s NATCA Activism and Training Expo (ATX) general session, Henry Joyner and Stella Kalaoram from the Culinary Workers Union Local 226 spoke on a panel moderated by NATCA staff member Eugene Freedman. Joyner is part of the organizing committee at Red Rock Resort Las Vegas, and Kalaoram is a shop steward and organizer at the Cosmopolitan. 

The Culinary Union is a Nevada affiliate of UNITE HERE and represents 60,000 workers in Las Vegas and Reno, including at most of the casino resorts on the Las Vegas Strip and in Downtown Las Vegas.
