NATCA Activists Deliver Handwritten Letters to Congressional Offices
Members of NATCA’s National Legislative Committee personally delivered handwritten letters from NATCA members to congressional offices on Tuesday, May 20 and Wednesday, May 21, as part of our Union’s drive to educate members of Congress about the importance of not changing the Federal Employee Retirement System (FERS) and other federal benefits. In all, more than 1,200 personal letters were delivered to offices in both the House and Senate. All together, the letters weighed more than 28 pounds. Many of them were written by attendees at the recent Biennial Convention in San Francisco. Some letters were also written by members and mailed to NATCA’s national office in Washington, D.C.
