Rep. Brian Jack Receives Presentation Concerning Atlanta ATC Facilities

U.S. Representative Brian Jack (Ga.-3) recently received a presentation and tour of the Atlanta air traffic control operations. Atlanta TRACON (A80) FacRep Ryan Boerger showed Rep. Jack some day-to-day operations of the TRACON, while also answering questions concerning staffing at Atlanta facilities compared to other ATC facilities. NATCA representatives presented Rep. Jack with the overall economic impact of the operation at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport, while highlighting the number of NATCA represented members residing in the Congressman’s district.

NATCA representatives also discussed the importance of maintaining the Federal Employee Retirement System (FERS) and how any cuts to that program would impact the retention and recruitment of air traffic controllers.
