NATCA Honors Rep. Sam Graves and Rick Larsen with the James L. Oberstar Sentinel of Safety Award

NATCA President Nick Daniels honored U.S. Rep. Sam Graves, Chair of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, and U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen, Ranking Member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, with our Union’s James L. Oberstar Sentinel of Safety Award at Communicating For Safety 2025. A champion for aviation safety and the workforce, Rep. Graves has led FAA reauthorization, advocated for controllers and aviation professionals, and worked tirelessly to strengthen the future of the National Airspace System. Rep. Larsen’s steadfast support for NATCA members, commitment to labor and safety, and bipartisan leadership on aviation policy have strengthened the National Airspace System and advanced modernization for the workforce we serve. The Oberstar Award is NATCA’s highest honor for those outside of our organization who have displayed outstanding achievements in the advancement of aviation safety.
