U.S. Rep. Gabe Evans (Colo.-8) Tours Denver Facilities

U.S. Representative Gabe Evans (Colo.-8) recently toured the Denver ATCT (DEN) and Denver TRACON (D01). NATCA member Zac Ploch (DEN) facilitated the tour with the first-term Congressman. Following the tour of the facilities, Rep. Evans was briefed on ATC staffing issues, the need to modernize and improve facility infrastructure, and why it is critically important to modernize equipment used to keep the National Airspace System safe.

Rep. Evans was also able to learn about why stable and predictable funding will help improve ATC recruitment and retention, as well as learn about the detrimental effects a possible government shutdown has on Air Traffic Controllers. Rep. Evans said he wants to continue to work on issues central to NATCA and invites further NATCA engagement either in-district or at his Washington, D.C. office.
